Technical definitions

Antimagnetic = watch movement which is not influenced by a normal magnetic field.
Flyback = when a mechanical stopwatch is returned to zero it will automatically restart.
Jewels = made of synthetic ruby. They are smoother than glass, harder than steel and prevent friction at the important moving parts in the mechanical stopwatch movement. They contribute to accuracy, long life and dependability.
Jewelled lever escapement = escapement equipped with two jewels to protect from wear.
Pin lever escapement = escapement equipped with two less accurate steel pins.
Stopwatch = watch used for short time measurements with no time of day reading.
Timer = stopwatch.
Unbreakable mainspring = mainspring made of a special high quality alloy which resists corrosion and does not weaken or break after years of use.
